Pay over 12 months at 0% APR.

When the amount due at collection is $1,000 or more, through Affirm, for customers Affirm approves for that plan. Others may be offered different terms, including plans that carry interest. The representative example and full terms are just below.

Representative example

For example, a $3,000 invoice, sales tax included, with no down payment could cost $250 a month for 12 months at 0% APR - 12 monthly payments, $3,000 in total. Affirm may require a down payment from some customers; if it does, Affirm shows the down payment amount and the adjusted monthly payment before you accept.

Your rate for pay-over-time plans will be 0-36% APR. Payment options through Affirm are subject to an eligibility check. Options depend on your purchase amount, and a down payment may be required. Financing is offered when the amount due at collection - your invoice total, Ohio sales tax included, after any deposit you have already paid - is $1,000 or more (up to Affirm's $30,000 maximum). It is a credit arrangement between you and the lender, not with Burton Auto Detailing. Burton Auto Detailing is not a lender and does not extend credit. Financing does not change the price of any service. If we refund a financed service, in whole or in part, the refund goes back through Affirm to your loan while Affirm's refund window is open (currently 120 days from payment), and otherwise directly to you - never as store credit. A refund Affirm applies to your loan may exclude interest you have already paid.

What we offer

When the balance due at collection is $1,000 or more - typical for Presidential ceramic coating, two-stage or multi-stage paint correction, full-vehicle 3M Crystalline tint, and paint protection film - customers Affirm approves for it can pay over 12 months at 0% APR through Affirm. The price is the same however you pay.

How it works

  1. Book as usual. Nothing changes at drop-off. If a deposit applies to your appointment, it's collected the normal way and isn't eligible for financing. A deposit also reduces the balance due at collection, and Affirm appears only when that balance is $1,000 or more.
  2. When your vehicle is ready for collection, we email you the invoice. When the balance due is $1,000 or more (up to Affirm's $30,000 maximum), Affirm appears as a payment option alongside cards.
  3. Choose Affirm and answer a few questions. Affirm gives you a decision in real time, and Affirm says checking your eligibility won't affect your credit score.
  4. Affirm decides which plans you see. For customers it approves for the plan, those include 12 months at 0% APR; a shorter 0% APR term and longer terms that carry interest may also appear. Your rate for any plan will be 0-36% APR. Affirm handles your payments from there. Once Affirm confirms the payment, your vehicle goes home with you.

The price is the same however you pay

There's no surcharge for financing and no discount for skipping it. Ohio sales tax applies to the full price of the service, the same as any other payment, and is part of the invoice total you finance.

Common questions

Does checking my eligibility affect my credit score?Per Affirm, no - checking your eligibility won't affect your credit score. If you go ahead with a plan, Affirm may report the loan and your payment history to the credit bureaus, as any lender can.

Can I finance a deposit or pay before the work is complete?No. Financing applies to the invoice for work already performed, when your vehicle is ready for collection. Deposits aren't eligible for financing.

What if the amount due at collection is under $1,000?It's paid at collection - card or cash at the shop, or the card link we email - the same as always. If a larger project genuinely separates into two visits - a detail now and a coating later, for example - we're glad to schedule it that way.

Who do I contact about my payments after the visit? Affirm. Your payment schedule, statements, and any changes to it live in your Affirm account. Questions about the work itself come to us.
